About Backyard Bug Out
Most people think “bugging out” means disappearing into the woods with a backpack. Truth is, most of us live in neighborhoods, have jobs, families, and backyards. That’s why I started Backyard Bug Out — to show that preparedness doesn’t have to be extreme or complicated. It can start right where you’re standing.
This blog is about practical, no-nonsense prepping:
Storing water without needing a bunker.
Building a bug out bag without spending a fortune.
Turning your backyard into a launchpad if you ever need to move fast.
Practicing simple skills so they’re second nature when it counts.
I’m not here to sell fear. I’m here to share ideas, test things out, and hopefully give you a few tips you can use right away. If you’re like me, you just want to know your family’s covered if life throws a curveball.
So stick around, try out some of the tips, and build your own version of a backyard bug out plan. It doesn’t matter where you live or how much gear you have — the point is to start.
